Therefore, the U.S. Missile Defense Agency focuses on three types of defense: against intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM), theater missiles, and tactical missiles. All of these weapons pose great potential danger. Missile defense systems are usually multi-layered and combine ground-based radar, satellites, and, depending on the type of missile that needs to be intercepted, ship-based, land-based, and truck-based anti-missile missile stations.
